A Life Plan Community, or continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offers various levels of senior housing options and care services designed to meet residents’ specific needs. Winchester Gardens is a nonprofit, full-service premier Life Plan Community in New Jersey, providing a campus setting for active and vibrant seniors 62 and greater.

Winchester Gardens is located in quaint Maplewood, New Jersey, on Elmwood Avenue, approximately 1/4 mile from Prospect Street. Our campus is close to a variety of engaging activities and attractions like Paper Mill Playhouse, fine dining, and great shopping options.

Like all Life Plan Communities, at Winchester, you enter into a service agreement. This agreement gives you use of your home on the Winchester Gardens campus, as well as access to our array of services, amenities, and programs. It is not a real estate transaction, so you don’t own your residence.

Not only can you continue to enjoy your current interests, but you’ll have a myriad of new cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities to explore. Discover the inner artist in you with a watercolor painting class, challenge your mind with the bridge group, splash around with friends in a water aerobics class, and socialize at the complimentary happy hour every week.

You’ll enjoy delicious, nutritious meals in our beautiful dining room created by a professional chef every day. Plus, Winchester Gardens offers a variety of distinct dining areas: casual dining, lounge/bar, fine dining, chef’s station, and outdoor terrace.

Aside from our complimentary happy hour every week, you may bring wine or beer to dinner.

Friends and family are welcome to visit with you! Need more room? We offer a guest apartment for a small fee. All visitors are registered for the safety of all residents and guests.

Pets are part of our families, and they are welcome in your home at Winchester Gardens.

We have a financial qualifying process that is conservative in nature and is based on your age at entry, your assets, and your income. If, through no fault of your own, you can’t make your full monthly payment, the Springpoint Foundation offers a Resident Financial Assistance program to provide financial assistance on your behalf. Springpoint has never asked a resident to leave due to inability to pay.
